Stories from Nature’s frontline: A talk by Rhett Ayers Butler about conservation journalism in the world’s most biodiverse places.

Rhett also will speak about his journey of growing Mongabay from a personal passion project into a multinational nonprofit media organization that covers critical issues affecting wildlife, wild places, and communities globally.

Rhett will speak about current media trends – and how Mongabay is responding to these – as well as how journalism can drive real-world impact.

His presentation will feature captivating photos of nature and wildlife that he’s taken around the world during the course of his reporting.

The event will be held at Holbrook Palmer Park at the Jennings Pavilion at 6pm on October 10, 2023. Light snacks and beverages will be served.
